Two things: specificity and receipts. Don't pitch “AI automation” — pitch “I'll cut your appointment no-shows by 30% in six weeks using an SMS agent, or you don't pay.” Show a demo you built in a day. Age evaporates when the work is undeniable.
Building the wrong thing beautifully. If you spend six months polishing a product nobody's asked for, you've learned nothing except how to hide from customers. Ship the ugly version this week. Talk to the people who bought it. Then decide what's worth polishing.
